At first, the coloured lining on the meranti tabletop just seems painted, but nothing is what it seems. The table is made of a recycled gym floor that dates back to 1968.
When in 2011, Menkesdriek heard that the floor of the gymnasium in his native village would be demolished, he decided to save its floor from destination by dividing it into 88 tabletops.
This is a cooperation and there are still a few tables available, please write an email to get more information.

ERIC URMETZER is a brand architect, creative director and designer. This has given him the opportunity to gain many years of experience in Hamburg, London, New York and Berlin. Now his journey has led him back to his home in Munich.
